Canada's secret eavesdropping agency feared for the personal safety of staff following the leak of sensitive intelligence by a former U.S. spy contractor, newly declassified memos show. John Forster, chief of Communications Security Establishment Canada, sent several messages to staff following U.S. spy contractor Edward Snowden’s massive leak of western intelligence secrets. Here is one from Sept. 19 of last year, obtained by The Canadian Press under the Access to Information Act. Some portions were withheld by the spy agency.
