“F-A-I-T-H”
I’m still trying to get the motions down right! If youweren’t here, you don’t know what I’m talking about. Our children didsome of their praise and worship songs in the service on Sunday morningand they spelled the word “faith” using their arms. I LIKED IT! That’swhy I’m still trying to sing about faith and use my hand/arm motions.Special THANKS to Jonathan & Angela Atkins, Donna & GarrenBurdette, and ALL our children’s workers for their dedication each andevery week to provide “age-geared” worship and ministry to our children. Many workers are in the Children’s Building each week and many of youdo not get to see them. Please know that WCOG has dedicated andcommitted workers who love your children and who tirelessly give of themselves to see that our children are well cared for and ministered to.THANKS, KIDS OF FAITH WORKERS! ! ! We love you!
DON’T FORGET THAT WEDNESDAY EVENING
we will be having atime of fellowship together inside and outside the CLC. This is anotheropportunity to do something wonderful for our kids. Beginning at 7 PM,we will be giving away hot dogs, chips, a soft drink, and even popcorn! Then beginning around 7:24 or so, we will go outside and let our kids“Trunk ‘r’ Treat! We will have a wonderful time. It’s a great time to sitat the table while you eat your hotdog and get to know some people! Ichallenge you to sit with somebody you don’t normally sit with. Youmight just make a new friend!
THIS PAST MONTH,
our focus was “Our Church’s Future.” I preached3 messages in relation to that. Week on, I talked about “How To MoveTowards Our Future.” I told you we must keep praying, keep believing, keep dreaming, and keep giving. Week two, I preached about the “God of Our Future” and told you 10 things from Psalms that God is or God does. This past week, I talked to you about “Hindrances to Moving to OurFuture.” I told you we could fail to ‘move out of the way,’ fail to ‘moveover,’ and fail to ‘move up.’ I hope you will continue to make our futurea matter of prayer. I hope you will keep dreaming of the things God hasin store for us. I hope you dream things outside the realm of YOURpossibility. Just because it’s outside your possibility doesn’t mean it isoutside God’s! With God, nothing … NOTHING….
NOTHING
…isimpossible. I hope you dream outside what is comfortable for you. I hopeyou dream outside the way you’ve always done it before. If we are goingto reach the harvest we must use every available means to do so. It mightnot be comfortable, or like we’ve done it before, but all Jesus said for usto do is “FISH.” He didn’t tell us what lure or technique to use. He justsaid , ‘FISH.’
THAT LEADS INTO THE THEME FOR NOVEMBER!
This month’stheme is “Reaching The Harvest.” I so vividly remember one of thewords the Holy Ghost gave us….He told us that we would reach the “city, the state, and the nation.” HOW? I truly believe that one of the ways wecan see that come to pass is through media ministry. We have begun touse media to reach out in ways we’ve never done before. Clips of ourchurch services are being placed on YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, and onthe church website. There is plenty more to do. You may have noticedthat we’ve had some difficulties in the past month or so. Our equipmentwas bought “very used” and since then, it is “very, very used.” If we aregoing to do something for the Lord, it ought to be the very best we can do.He gave His best; we should do our best. To do that, we need to replaceour equipment.
ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15

,
we will be taking a “HARVESTOFFERING.” We recently took a “VISION OFFERING” and a total of $1815 was given towards the vision of our new church. November 15
th
,the “HARVEST OFFERING” will be received for the purpose of securingnew media equipment to be used to help us REACH OUR HARVEST.I believe that you will want to be a part of this special offering. Do youhave family that needs to be reached? Neighbors? Do you care about lostpeople going to hell that you don’t know? If you are concerned about theharvest and share our vision to use media to the fullest extent possible, would you prayerfully and thoughtfully consider sharing in this“HARVEST OFFERING” on November 15
