With step-by-step instructions for assembling age-old chain patterns—from simple to complex—and gorgeous designs that can be executed using only simple hand tools, Chain and Bead Jewelry Creative Connections is sure to inspire jewelry artisans at all levels to expand the creative possibilities of their work.

CHAPTER 3
1
Begin the embellished Chaos ear-ring the same as the Simple ChaosEarring design (see pages 46–47, steps1–5) wrapping the 22-gauge wire aroundthe 19-gauge headpin. Pause halwaythrough the wire wrapping (at step 5 onpage 47) and add five 2mm beads (onered and our black, or vice versa) onto the22-gauge wire.
2
Continue wrapping the 22-gaugewire, placing the 2mm beads intospaces within the previous wire wrap-ping. Try to place the beads all aroundthe wire wrapping.
3
With the remaining 22-gauge wire, fill in the gaps between the 2mmbeads. Finish the end o the 22-gaugewire tightly against the 19-gauge head-pin. Repeat steps 1–3 or the secondearring. As with any wire-wrapping project, i you don’t like your results, you can always unravel the wire wrapping to recycle the beadsand headpin.Notice that the 22-gauge wire wrapping will be bent and stifdue to the wire’s memory o every bend; save this ball o wireand recycle.
