 Alexandria, Va.
 –
Catholic Charities USA is pleased to announce that Alexis Weber, Director of the School of Nursing at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Mercy Hospital and volunteer at Catholic Charities Pittsburgh, is the winner of the 2014 Volunteer of the Year award.  Weber has volunteered her talents as a nurse with St. Joseph House, a sixty-bed single room occupancy (SRO) facility for men ages fifty and over who have become homeless or were at risk for homelessness, since 1994. She is well versed in issues associated with addiction and mental illness,  which is often an important aspect of her care.
