Old business -

A. Vision statements - Reid will collect them and consolidate them. Then discuss themat next meeting.B. Communication to all staff - Discussion on department meetings. We want to avoidmeeting just to meet. How best to get information from our departments and also howto best communicate what we discuss with the entire staff?C. Department meetings / dissemination of information - If we have things that we needfeedback on, then we need to find a good way to garner that feedback. We want toavoid just sending an email that gets read but not responded to. The key issue seems tobe - if communicating with email - to stipulate a response for the email message.Getting feedback from all staff is key. Shane’s fear is that we do not get this right thefirst time and not have to start over if we don’t remedy the communication issue.D. Common prep is planned through December. Suggestions for possible topics orworkshops are welcome from the staff. Let Kelly know if you have any suggestions.

New business -

A. Wellness - Sara received a wealth of information from the coop and is wonderinghow to distribute this. We have $200 in our wellness budget currently (our budget wasreduced because we did not spend it last year). This information could be attachedevery once in awhile to Shane’s staff weeklies. Kelly volunteered to attend aWednesday, October 21st meeting, looking to develop some type of competition amongthe buildings. This such an infinitesimal budget, is this worth devoting much time to?What could we spend this money on?B. Diane Johnson benefit will be held November 22. Diane is recovering from a boatingaccident. Sara and Loren and their students have some money from doing concessionsand are looking at putting those funds toward a benefit. They are also thinking of doinga bake sale as an additional fundraiser. Sara was wondering if each department could
