Process of cleaning of carrots in industries involves several processing system. The cleaning process can use few types of vegetable washing machine and for example is by using the drum washer. The heart of the machine is a horizontal suspended wash drum. The drum is manufactured with holes and slots, formed in a way to avoid damage to the carrots, while achieving a very good washing effect. The principal of washing is to have the carrots rubbing each other. Carrots are fed to the plant in cases, bins, bags or in bulk. A comprehensive washing is essential, as large quantities of mud and stones may be transported together with the product. To attain this you need a certain volume of carrots in the drum. The volume is easily regulated by means of a rotating or horizontal adjustable valve. A spray pipe is mounted within the drum to supply fresh or re-circulated water. Beneath the washer the water is guided through a funnel. In a special execution the washer is provided with a chain out feed belt after the valve and the washer can handle a certain water level. The carrots can undergo the grading process by using the Roller Grader. The roller grader grades out a pre-determined undersize small piece from a carrots flow. The grading size is steeples adjustable. The roller grader is equipped with several amounts of rollers. The distance between the rollers can be adjusted continuously with a hand wheel. The adjustment for size variation alters along the full length of the rollers. The rollers are preset at an angle creating a natural inclination which transports the product without fall towards the roller discharge end. The carrots which is undersize to the preset grade falls through rollers and can be transported out of the machine or delivered directly into a hopper. The carrots are then will be stored according to the size that has been graded from the machine.
