DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE SERVICES
The Town of Coaldale is a progressive, growing community of
over 6,900 residents, located 10 minutes east of the City of
Lethbridge in beautiful sunny southern Alberta. Due to the
retirement of the incumbent, we are seeking a new Director of
Corporate Services. This person reports to the Town Manager and
works in collaboration with Town Committees, Boards, Staff and a
variety of Community Groups.

Our new Director of Corporate Services will serve a very

important leadership role in the town and possesses the
following competencies:

! positive, energetic, enthusiastic and an excellent communicator;

! demonstrated capability of managing the financial activities of a
municipality in compliance with the Municipal Government Act
and municipal policies;
! possesses a Professional Accounting Designation;
! able to provide advice and guidance to the CAO, department
heads and Council;
! experienced in managing investments, project costing,
budgeting, asset management, risk and records management;
! known for his/her integrity, for creating trust, and for treating
people with respect and dignity;
! professional, self confident, self starter, demonstrated
supervisory skills and achievement-oriented;
! adaptable, responsive and able to deal with the uncertainty of
change;
! highly computer literate and enjoys researching appropriate and
timely information and taking necessary action;
! has knowledge of the GAAP, Public Sector Accounting and the
Municipal Government Act;
! knowledge of Bellamy Software would be an asset.

An equivalent combination of relevant knowledge and experience
