Transcript Snippet 2 - Another Stupid LULAC Attorney The Editor: This exchange in the transcript is at page 18 and 19 of the 580 page document in the Soto, et al v. LULAC, et al case. Chris Ford, the attorney for plaintiffs, is in the first few steps of questing Socorro Esquivel, when he is interrupted by Anthony Guajardo, the attorney for LULAC, et al, the defendants and directs a matter to the judge as to Domingo Garcia being in the same room where the evidentiary hearing is taking place. Garcia was not a party to the suit said Guajardo. The objective of Guajardo was to have the court kick Garcia out of the hearing room. Garcia said that he was not a party to the suit by name but was a member of the class, which the court had not ruled on the certification of the class. The exchange shows another stupid LULAC attorney being caught unprepared for the hearing, not having his facts together. His opening challenging Garcia, whom Guajardo would later
describe the “millionaire” attorney, which should be looked at as a
badge of honor, was like sticking out his head while driving 60 miles an hour and spitting in the wind and getting spit oll over his face, which is what happened in the exchange. Garcia said, LULAC had not responded to the issue of class certification and the deadline to response had passed. The court picked up the discussion started by stupid Guajardo and asked Guajardo had he filed a written response. Read the donkey
hee hawing that comes out of Guajardo as he responds to the court’s
inquiry. After hearing Guajardo and Guajardo not saying
“yes” or “no”
as to responding, the judge rule that he was issuing an order certifying the class and permitted Garcia to stay in the hearing room. 7 MR. GUAJARDO: I'm not sure Mr. Domingo 8 Garcia is a party or can be present. I'm not sure what -- 9 why is he here because we've invoked the rule. He's not a 10 party.
