The goal of our group was to design and build a switching voltageregulator while meeting the following specifications: adjustable outputvoltage from 2V to 10V independent of the load, capable of sourcing120mA at any voltage in the specified range, maintain the voltage rippleon the output smaller than 50mV, and the efficiency of the circuit mustbe better than 50% at full load over the entire range. Our final designmet and surpassed all the specifications. The efficiency was 50.1% at2V, and 80% at 10V. Our output had a ripple of 30mV, the design wasable to source 145mA at 10V (69
Ω load) an
d 150mA at 2V (13
Ω load).
