1.Working Title films is a British film company who are based in London,England. It was founded by Tim Bevan and Sarah Radclyffe in 1982. Thecompany produces feature films and television productions. The co-ownersof the company are now Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner.Warp Films is a sister company of warp records. It was set up in 1999 withfunding from NESTA. The company is based in Sheffield, England but alsohas a second office in London which has 14 full-time staff. Working titlefilms are part of a big company, whereas WARP films are more individual.2.Working Title is a medium budget film company. Medium budget filmshave stars that aren’t as established as those in high budget films. Theyalso have less shocking special effects. If however the film is a success theactors-actresses will become more established depending on howsuccessful the film becomes. WARP films are low budget and haveactors/actresses that are normally first timers or have been in films thatdon’t become successful. Settings, Special effects and props are alsoaffected in a low budget film compared to a medium or high budget film.Low budget films can’t afford what high budget films can afford.3.Create a list of films that both institutions have produced.4.Working title films: Atonement, the boat that rocked, Billy Elliot, Bridget’s Jones diary, 40 days and 40 nights.WARP Films: Dead man’s shoes, Rubber Johnny, This is England, Growyour own.5.Choose one from each list and compare the budgets for these films andhow much they made.
