senatorl Minnesota Senate Colleagues, We would like to take a mon'lent of your time for a very important issue. This issue affects our children, grandchildren, friends and neighhors. This issue is Marijuana. This devastatingly addictive drug, vrthich we both have seen firsthand, rips families apart, devastates relationships and destroys communities"
This national initiative to legalize raw Marijuana in any form is a direct attack at our way of life in Minnesota. The two of us along with the law enforcement community, County Attorneys Association, and Governor Dayton will look to halt this initiative. We urge all of our members to help us in this effort.

We have attached materials that we both have found very useful in our research on this issue' This material is written by Kevin Sabet PHD a nationally recognized figure on the dangers of marijuana. Mr. Sabet has served Presidents Clinton, Bush, and Obama. This issue is not a Republican or Democrat issue, it's and issue of right or wrong. Plainly stated, legalizing the current form of raw Mariiuana is wrong. There is proof the marijuana has medical benefits we can agree to that. The FDA is a year and a half away from extracting cannahidiol {CBD} a possible medication from Marijuana and leaving the addictive tetrahydrocannabinol {THC} out cf any medicine. lf the intentions of people who support medical marijuana are true then we should wait and pass a law with a drug approved by the FDA. Instead of following the similar footsteps take in Colorado and Washington which eventually legalized the dangerous recreational Marijuana.
5o members we ask you stand wlth us and the Law Enforcement community on this issue. lf you have any questions feelfree to contact either of us. We will be more than willing to meet \Mith you on this issue.
