Lab/Library Use
emember that during the two weeks before the end of the nine weeks, themain library will be available to classes for  book use only. If you need computers, please reserve the lab. Students requestedthis because those two weeks are crunch timefor them and they need computer access for typing papers. Thank you.
No Study Hall Concern
 New teachers may not beaware of our hours.Students who do not havestudy hall can still enter the library media center.Students have TWOHOURS of access whenthey do not need a pass. Students can comefrom 7:00-8:00, during both lunches, and3:15-3:45 without a pass and work on projects, type papers, etc. This is every dayand exclusive of study halls.
Glass Case Display
Thank you to Steve Eargle and Jim Hartellfor displaying their items in the glass case atthe front of the library. If you would like touse our display, please let us know, and wewill schedule you in.
Decorating the Library

Principal’s Reading Honor Roll
Please remind students that if they have areading log, they need to give us the title of the book they have read. We will not enter  books automatically for them. Also, remindstudents to blog about four titles onhttp://vikingsread.wordpress.com.
Playaways
hirty-four Playaways are available for check-out in the media center. APlayaway is a 3” X 2” hard case device thathas a book on it. Each Playaway is adifferent book, and users can not add anyother content. To see our complete list of titles, pull of the Media Center Catalog.Type Playaway in the search box and click Keyword. On the next screen, click on theSearch All Words tab to see the complete listof titles.

Consider signing up for Diigo andencouraging your students to use this social bookmarking website. Users can bookmark and tag web pages, highlight passages, andattach sticky notes to specific highlights or anentire page.
