So it goeswithout saying your going to need an award winning cover letterformat. The cover letter format you should be going for is one of the standardbusiness type letter. Include three short concise and snappyparagraphs. The first paragraph should explain to the employer whoyou are and why you are writing to them. If it is a particular job advertyou are replying to you should give information about this post if not just give details of posts you are interested in. The second paragraph is the most important this is where very brieflyyou are going to sell yourself. You should give details of your skills,achievements and anything else specific to the job you are applying.Remember to stay focussed and keep the letter sharp. It’s no goodtelling how great you are operating a computer if your applying todrive a truck. If you have a lot to add to this paragraph it is expectableto break it down in to two smaller paragraphs, this will help flow andkeep the format. The final paragraph or conclusion will let the prospective employerknow how you will follow up. Don’t just leave it open or expect them tocall you. Give a specific time when you will be in touch either by phoneor letter. As simple as this sounds, make sure you call when you saidyou were going to call. It will not look good if you forget.So if you really want that job spend some time on your research andwrite an award winning resume and accompany it with a great coverletter.
