Heart Walk ef-forts, by promoting on-site healthy eating options:- Turn drink and snack machine off for the day- Serve healthy food in the cafeteria- Host a healthy brown-bag lunch- Have a speaker discuss nutrition- Hold a rally with a speaker - Throw a heart-healthy cook-off - Give away apples (or another fruit) or healthy snacks- Encourage a soda-free week - Send e-mails with nutrition tips

Identify monthly themes or plan your events around a variety of national health observances.

Kick off with awareness — start with a health fair. You can uselocal health systems or hospitals to conduct the screenings at your workplace. Have information available to help employees reducetheir risk factors.
