ICT Guidelines and Standards Developed Development of the National Cyber security Master Plan has been completed and set to be rolled out before the end of this FY.

Development of National ICT Infrastructure

To improve Broadband access in all the 47 counties the ministry has commenced Laying of additional 1,600Km of National Optic Fibre Backbone Infrastructure (NOFBI) Phase 2 to the already existing 4,300km laid in phase 1. The project will also include installing Local Area Networks (LAN) in 3 Buildings at each County Headquarters and construction of a Metro Fibre Network in all the 47 Counties Survey of the Fibre Route is complete in all the 47 counties. The laying of the fibre set to start by May 2014 after approval by roads authority.

Investment Summary Content and IT Applications development

1. Support digitization of registries in readiness for the establishment of National Digital Register Services (NDRS).
