 PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Today’s world is changing rapidly. I could not have guessed the changes that have takenplace during the thirty-two years that have passed since my high school graduation. The world will continue to change and young people must be prepared to face thatchallenge. They must be given extensive academic knowledge and skill, as these are thebasis for future success. Bald Eagle Area Middle School/Senior High School offers agreat range of academic programs for this purpose. In addition, many opportunities existfor a student’s social and emotional development as well. This handbook is an overview of our many programs, state and local policies, anddetailed information regarding the procedures that govern attendance, awards, discipline, grades, and honor roll. Academic requirements for participation in extra-curricularactivities, grade promotion, graduation, and honors programs are also included.
It isyour responsibility to be familiar with the policies and procedures that governstudent life at our middle school/senior high school.
Every student and parent is encouraged to thoroughly review the handbook. Please feelwelcome to ask questions or make comment. Finally, I encourage parents to become actively involved in their child’s middleschool/senior high school experience. Your interest and support is key in the success of our young people.Sincerely,David L. ReichelderferHigh School Principal
