Literacy Merrittlaunches ESL
Literacy Merritt opened its doors to anew and exciting community programthis week — English as a SecondLanguage began Tuesday, and will runfor the next 9 weeks. It is offered in apartnership between Literacy Merrittand Merritt Public Library. Classes will be offered at the library on Tuesdays 7-8pm & Wednesdays 4:30-5:30pm, free toadults in the community who needassistance with English skills.They are also adding an ESLCoffeeCircle to the program on Saturdays, 10-11am, at the library. It is place where stu-dents can practice their new skills.Anyone interested in volunteering forLiteracy Merritt can contact 315-5851.

In Merritt, the first H1N1 clinic will be held at the Civic Centre onWednesday Nov. 4th, 9am-7pm. InteriorHealth would like to remind people thatonly those at high riskare eligible forthis particular H1N1 flu vaccine clinic
