Zakir Naik is not a scholar, and he never claimed to be one. According to himself he is a student of Islam and comparative religion. So take his statements as a comparison of scriptures and not as legal rulings. Alhamdulillah he is doing a great job in exposing the lies that people fabricate against Islam. We need a lot more people like him.

If Zakir Naik is accepted as a scholar, then this word would become a slur/libel. I have watched Zakir's rantings recently in one TV channel called Peace TV and found his logic an insult to human intellect. Hope after this no other scholar would like to be addressed as scholar!!
