What is a workflow?
The workflow can be defined as the repetitive and orchestrated activity that happens in a business due to a systemic organization of the events which also includes transformation of materials, provision of services and formation of information. The process or workflow can be defined with a series of operations and is declared as the job description of the person or a particular group, organization or staff by using some simple or complex mechanisms. When being described from a much higher perspective, the workflow can be viewed or be presented as the real work wherein it serves the purpose of virtual representation of the work done. The flow being described here usually refers to the particular document, service or product that is being used to transfer from one step to another. Most of the businesses view the workflow as the fundamental stepping stone which when combined with other parts of organization structure provides a better understanding of the information silos, hierarchies, and the project policies.
