How to et Interested in Learning
Learning at college is a completely different experience as compared to high school. Unlike high school where teachers assume the responsibility to retain your interest in learning, college learning is mostly based on your own initiative and how you maintain your learning interest. It can be difficult to stay interested in learning at college due to several distractions that are a part and parcel of college life. If you are struggling to retain interest in your college studies, here are some ways that can help  you get over it.
Get to know your professor
You must try to catch up with your professors after classes and get to know them  better. Speaking with your professors and building a rapport with them can help in increasing your interest in learning what they are teaching. There are chances that  you may have doubts which you were unable to raise during class. You can get these clarified by having a discussion with your professor personally. Getting to know your professor can be a good way to grow your interest in learning.
Unplug your internet occasionally
Using the internet too much can also contribute to killing your interest in learning. Internet can be very distracting especially if you stay put on social networking sites throughout the day. Therefore, you must take some time off by unplugging your internet occasionally and disconnecting from the outside world. This will help you generate a certain amount of interest in learning.

Find ways to enjoy being in class
You can also increase your interest in your college studies by finding different ways to enjoy being in class. Enjoying class does not necessarily mean chatting with
friends and not concentrating on the professor’s lecture. You can enjoy being in class
by listening to the information being delivered in the class and thinking on it from  your own perspective. Asking relevant questions related to the subject and getting answers to them can also make class an enjoyable experience.
Give yourself plenty of time
Giving yourself ample time to learn and understand things better can help you gain interest in your college studies. This is applicable to both attending classes and studying on your own. When you are in class, ensure that you listen to the things  being said by the professor and take some time to think about it. Also, if you are reading through your notes or a book on your own, give some time to think on it and check your understanding.
Get some help
Taking help from parents, siblings and college mates can be useful in keeping you interested in learning. Also, if you are really finding it difficult, you can also hire a private tutor and take help from him or her.
