Mr. Summers also built the frst shelling plant in the Carolinas, GoldenKernel Pecan Co., Inc.Today, Golden Kernel Pecan Co., Inc. isowned and operated by David’s two sons,David K. Summers, Jr. and J. WilliamSummers, and has expanded to include manyother distinctive oods o the Carolinas.
