Mayor
Ardis
discovered
that
an
unknown
person had
created
a Twitter
account
uLilizing
Mayor
Ardis'
name,
information
and photograph. The
Twitter
account
was
titled
"Gpeoriamayor".
In addition to the creation of
the
@peoriamayor
Twitter account,
Mayor
Ardis
discovered
that
the
individual
had
creaLed
"tweers"
impersonating
Mayor
Ardis.
These
"tweets" implied
Mayor
Ardis utilizes iIlegal drugs,
associates
with prostitutes,
and
utilized
offensive
j-nappropriate
language.

which was
separating
a
white
powdery
substance.
Upon
discovery of the account,
Mayor Ardis
reported
the
account
to the
Peoria
Pofice
DepartmenL.
During that
report, Ardis
stated
that
he
had
not
created
nor
authorized
anyone
to
create
the
account
using
his
personal
photograph,
or
information
from his
e.l,ected
office, Additionally, he
wished
to
pursue
the
incident.
On
Wednesday,
March
L2,
2014,
this affianL
accessed the
Gpeoriamayor
twitter
account
and observed
that the
account
utilizedthe
photograph
of
Jim
Ardis. Additionally,

had
