Description

Barnett v Obama was dismissed by Judge Carter on Oct 29, 2009. This document is the judge's decision.

As background, Judge David O. Carter had promised to hear the case on its merits - this just before he added an Obama lawyer (Siddarth Velamoor of Perkins Coie) to his staff.

There are many conjectures about what happened during this case (both Orly Taitz and Gary Kreep have said they are appealing Carter's judgment) and it appears that Judge Carter may have dropped the ball he promised to carry.

Having said that, Leo Donofrio likes this written decision, and believes it supports his belief that only quo warranto in WDC is the suitable legal avenue for litigants.

Complete article on Donofrio's opinion at: http://tinyurl.com/yhcbhoz in which he says "I was impressed with the integrity of Judge Carter’s ruling today. It gives me hope that the POTUS eligibility issue will eventually have its day in court on the merits."
