The
JOURNAL OF THE INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR TEACHER EDUCATION (JISTE)
is published as a service tothose concerned with global teacher education. It serves as a forumfor the exchange of information and ideas related to theimprovement of teacher education. Articles focus upon conceptsand research which have practical dimensions or implications andapplicability for practitioners in teacher education. The Journallimits its articles to those in which ideas are applicable in multiplesocial settings.
 JISTE 
is an official, refereed publication of ISTE. The goalof ISTE is to publish six to eight articles in each issue. Using theSeminar theme, articles in the first issue of each volume are basedon papers presented at the previous seminar. Articles in the secondissue are non-thematic. Points of view and opinions are those of the individual authors and are not necessarily those of ISTE.Published manuscripts are the property of JISTE. Permission toreproduce must be requested from the editor.
 ISTE 
is issued twice yearly by the International Society forTeacher Education. The subscription price of $US25.00 is includedin the annual membership fee. Additional copies of the journal maybe purchased for $US15.00. Institutional subscription to
