Hello New to Twitter Workshop participants -

Beside the big four we explored during the workshop:

\u2013Twitter \u2013TweetDeck \u2013TweetLater \u2013TwitterFeed

these are some of my favorite Twitter Tools and
Applications. Many of these we discussed in passing during the Workshop. I have
either used, explored, or feel to recommend these tools, except for the 4 Bazillion

listed in the section called \u201cOther People\u2019s Lists.\u201d I have a life, you know.Also

note\u2013 new applications are coming out weekly\u2013 this list is current for August
2009. I will see how much it changes over the next year and re-visit this document
in August 2010.

Currently, there are hundreds of applications associated with Twitter. Some are

for MAC only, some are for mobile applications

, some have questionable ethics\u2026,

but here are a few of my favorites with a few of my workshop participants

favorites added in, too!

TWEETING CONTENT

A good third of your content will be tweeted directly from your blog posts.
Remember to use TwitterFeed for that process and add your bit.ly account info so
you can track it.

TwitDoc This is how to upload a document right from your computer into Twitter

\u2013 bypassing posting to a blog. Upload your file, shorten the URL, and post a tweet

all in one easy step. I suggest you download the FREE Adobe AIR desktop client which enables you to drag and drop your files into your tweets right from your desktop. I demonstrated this one during session three.http://twi tdoc.com/

TweetMeme I have this plugin on my WordPress blog. This URL is where you can

find ALL the blog posts that use this system for VERY easy RTing on any subject.

Sort by highest number RTed in 24 hours, or keyword search and tweet those.

TwitterFeed This takes your blog post and auto-posts it directly to Twitter (or

other applications such as Ping.fm (for you power users).http: //twi tterfeed. com/

Bit.ly

Make sure you take all your regular URL links and create traceable URLs with this
service. Add the API code from your bit.ly account to TweetLater and all your
tweets from there will show up on your bit.ly account. This is a very important

part of the daily routine I\u2019ve developed for my students.http://www. bit. ly/
