Abstract

Romania has an extensive network of 116 universities; both public and private with 46 specilaizations in ICT. A survey was conducted by ATIC under the coordination of authors in April-May 2007 to asses what are the expectations of the ICT industry from universities and the expectations of the universities from the industry.
Several improvements are sought by the industry in the education system. This regards both education of professionals and education at the level of basic knowledgeto use ICT.Education of ICT Professionals.
