HYPERTEXT

Hypertext is text which is not constrained to be linear. Hypertext is text which contains links to other texts. The term was coined by Ted Nelson around 1965.

HYPERTEXT
The hypertext pages are interconnected by hyperlinks, typically activated by a mouse click, keypress sequence or by touching the screen.

HYPERTEXT
Hypertext is text that links to other information. By clicking on a link in a hypertext document, a user can quickly jump to different content. Though hypertext is usually associated with Web pages

HyperMedia

HyperMedia is a term used for hypertext which is not constrained to be text: it can include graphics, video and sound, for example.

HYPERMEDIA
An application which uses associative relationships amongst information contained within multiple media data for the purpose of facilitating access to, and manipulation of, the information encapsulated by the data.

HYPERTEXT AND HYPERMEDIA ARE CONCEPTS, NOT PRODUCTS.

MULTIMEDIA
Multimedia means that computer information can be represented through audio, video, and animation in addition to traditional media (i.e., text, graphics drawings, and images)

Multimedia is the field concerned with the computer-controlled integration of text, graphics, drawings, still and moving images (Video), animation, audio, and any other media where every type of information can be represented, stored, transmitted and processed digitally.
