Welcome to our inaugural auction of Fine Ales & Spirits Online

The overwhelmingly positive response to our previous offerings of ales and the recent surge in collectors demanding fine and rare spirits have combined to produce the following 111 lots of grain-based libations. Ales appear first, Lots 1-86, followed by 26 lots of Spirits. We hope you enjoy perusing the lots on offer, please contact us with any questions.

Provenance:
Lots 1-49 hail from a single cellar. The consignor purchased all of these bottles personally at retailers beginning in 2000 and stored them in custom-built, temperature-controlled home storage. Included are some incredible selections, including the first two vintages of Samuel Adams Utopias, one of the first vintages of New Belgiums La Folie, aged bottles of the famed Westvleteren, and early Dogfish Head bottles. Bottles tasted from the cellar have shown wonderfully. Lots 50-60 feature a selection of ales from a consignor well-known to Skinner, removed from a temperature-controlled cellar. Additionally, the consignor is offering three lots of outstanding American whiskey: Pappy Van Winkle 23, Black Maple Hill 18, and the exceedingly rare Willett 17 Bonili Pick. Lots 61-72 contain some of the most highly sought after lambics in existence: Cantillons Loerik, Don Quijote, and Blbr, plus outstanding American ales like the Samuel Adams Millennium, Midnight Sun M, and Three Floyds Dark Lord. Removed from professional, temperature-controlled storage prior to auction. Lots 73-77 are from another friend of Skinner, featuring rare Belgian ales from an outstanding cellar. Lots 78-84 features American all-stars: aged examples of Founders KBS, Goose Islands King Henry (a barleywine-style ale aged in third-use Pappy Van Winkle 23 barrels) and barrel aged selections from Firestone Walker. They join lots 88, 90, 103, and 104two lots of Van Winkle bourbon and two Scotches from shuttered distilleriesto complete this consignment from a gentleman well-known to Skinner who hand-selected these lots from temperature-controlled storage for this auction. Lots 85-87, two rare lambics and a complete set of Van Winkle bourbons, come from another consignor well-known to Skinner who is meticulous in their collecting. Lots 88A and 90A are from another long-time friend of Skinner, two Van Winkle bourbons ripe for the picking. Lot 89 represents the rare opportunity to compare four consecutive releases of Pappy Van Winkle 15-year Bourbon. Which one is best? Well let you decide. Purchased from reputable retailers upon release, this lot offers just a glimpse into this collectors extensive collection of bourbon. Lots 94-96, 98-102, and 105-109 represent some cellar-trimming from a well-traveled, long-time friend of Skinner. Removed from a custom-built, temperature-controlled home cellar, bid with confidence on these great whiskies. Lot 97, 1978 Ardbeg. A singular whisky from an important cellar. Removed from climate control for this auction.
