Subject:- Mid Term Appraisal of Eleventh Five Year Plan - Constitution of Consultative Group of Experts for Handlooms and Handicraft Sectors - Ministry of Textiles.

In the context of the Mid-Term Appraisal of the Eleventh Five Year Plan (2007-12), it has been decided to set up a Consultative Group of Experts for the Handlooms and Handicraft Sectors of the Ministry of Textiles.

New Delhi. 3. The Terms of Reference of the Consultative Group of Experts would be as

under:

i) To review and critically assess the performance and progress of the programmes implemented by the Development Commissioner (Handlooms) and Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India vis-a-vis the overall vision and targets for the sector in the Eleventh Plan.

ii) To suggest/recommend measures for mid-course correction to achieve better outcomes during the remaining period of the Eleventh Plan.

4. The Chairperson of the Consultative Group, if necessary may constitute Sub-Groups

on any specific area/subject and also co-opt additional Members.

5. The expenditure on T A/DA in connection with the meetings of the Consultative Group will be borne by the parent Ministry/Department to which the Officers belong. Non-official members of the Consultative Group will be entitled to TA/DA as admissible to Group-A Officers of India under SR. (190 (a) and the expenditure will be borne by Planning Commission.
