The Pennsville man accused in the Nov. 1 shooting at the Los Angeles International Airport was indicted by a federal grand jury Tuesday on 11 felony counts, including murder and attempted murder,according to the Los Angeles Times. Paul Anthony Ciancia, 23, a Salem County native who was living on the West Coast at the time of the shooting, was charged with the murder of Transportation Security Administration Officer Gerardo I. Hernandez and attempted murder of TSA Officers Tony Grigsby and James Speer. The latter two were both wounded. If convicted, Ciancia could face the death penalty. Ciancia allegedly used a Smith & Wesson 5.56-millimeter M&P15 semiautomatic rifle to shoot the three TSA officers, according to the indictment.

"Ciancia faces two additional counts related to Hernandez's death: knowingly using a semiautomatic rifle to murder and cause death, and committing violence at an international airport that resulted in death," according to the article. Ciancia"willfully, deliberately, maliciously, and with premeditation and malice aforethought" killed Hernandez and targeted two other TSA officers, according to the Associated Press. In all, the indictment filed Tuesday in a U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, chargess Ciancia with 11 felonies. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Dec. 26.
