The Architect,acting asthe Owner'sdesignated agent fordesignofthisproject,willexercise sole authorityfordeterminingconformance ofmaterials,equipment and systemswiththe intent ofthe design.Reviewand acceptance ofitemsproposed byContractorforincorporationinto the Work willbe bythe Architect.Thisfunctionofthe Architect willapplybothto Contract asinitiallysigned,and to the changesto Contract bymodificationduring progressofWork.2.
Ifat anytime before commencement ofWork,orduring progressthereof,the Contractor'smethods,equipment orappliancesareinefficient orinappropriate forsecuring qualityofWork,orrate ofprogressintended byContract Documents,the Ownermayorderthe Contractorto improve theirqualityorincrease theirefficiency.Thiswillnot relieve the Contractorofhissuretiesfromtheirobligationsto secure qualityofWork and rate ofprogressspecified incontract.C.

The method ofmanufacturing,fabricating and installing millworkand equipment and itsstructuralcomponentsdefined inthe ContractDocumentsisrepresentative and indicatesdesignintent only.Ifthe materials,detailsordimensionalpropertiesare at variance withtheContractor'sormanufacturer'srecommendations,alternate detailswillbe considered forreviewwhenshopdrawingsare submitted inaccordance withthe Contract Documents.It shallbe the responsibilityofthe Contractorto guarantee that the millworkand equipmentwillhave propersupport,stability,and fault-free performance.Allworkshallconformto ArchitecturalWoodwork Institute (AWI)standardsforpremiumconstruction.2.
It isthe intent ofthe Architect that the hardware represent the highest qualityand lasting durabilityforitsspecificfunction.If,intheopinionofthe Contractor,the hardware indicated onthe drawingsdoesnot represent the above-stated intent,the Contractorshallnotifythe Architect inwriting withstated reasonsand proposed substitutions.3.
Millwork indicated to have transparent finishesshallbe constructed according to AWIstandardsforpremiumgrade construction.
