1. Before Listening. Anticipate on Clothes/Style.2. While Listening.: a. Identify the topic……………………………b. Changethe words in bold and italics.
Todd:
Marion, at the school you workat, do the children
have
uniforms?
Marion:
Yes they do.
Todd:
Ah, that's
awful
Marion:

Do you agree
Todd:
Yeah.
Marion:
I think it's a
bad
thing thatthey wear uniforms. For
me
, and for their
family
too.
Todd:
Why?
Marion:
Well, because when theywake up in the morning, they
needn’t
think about what they wear for thatday. So, it saves time, they
get
extratime in bed maybe, and for their parents it saves them a lot of money,I think.
Todd:
See, I
agree
. First of all, whenchildren are young, they're starting tobe
imaginative
for the first time. So, just by choosing what they're going towear every day, they're can showtheir creativity, or their
 personality
,you know? Also, it helps studentslearn to
decide
, to make decisions, tomake decisions for themselves. Idon't know, like a uniform you takethat away from children.
Marion:
I think they can learn how tochoose in other ways, maybe, I don'tknow the accessories they wear, butbasically that everybody is in the
same outfit
think is really good, justto make everybody
different.
Didyou wear a uniform when you were atschool?
Todd:
No I didn't. And looking back,I'm
happy
I didn't, because youknow, your clothes reflect your
individuality
, and I think that it's
meaningless
for kids to be able toshow how they are as
an individual
,through their clothes.
Marion:
But maybe if you can showyour personality through your personality, and you don't need your clothes
to express yourself
, thenthat's a bit better, I think.
Todd:

 You win the match
. I guess I just ______________________________ Plus, I mean if you wear a uniformevery day it must get really
young
,really
boring
, the same thing againand again and again. And I think thatmentally, that can be
nice
.
Marion:
I think that it might be tiring,or worrying mentally if you, for example, if you see other children inyour school who have
better
clothes,
more comfortable jeans
, and your parents can't afford those kind of clothes. Then, it makes you feel
sad
when you're a child, and that's really,really
terrible
if you feel that way asa child, just because of clothes andmoney I think.
Todd:

Well, __________________?
Marion:
Yes.
Todd:
Did you
think
that way?
Marion:
I went to school in Ireland,so almost all schools have
universities
, so for us it felt very
banal
, that when I was in primaryschool we had a uniform, and then in
