he 13th annual Tourde Lincoln is a benefitbike ride May 10 forthe Lincoln VolunteerCenter. Tour de Lincoln offers aspring day of riding thescenic back roads of southPlacer County. Four courses are avail-able: Pleasure Cruise (10miles), Rolling Hills (20miles), Country Climb (40miles) and Metric Century (63 miles).  Well-stocked rest stopshosted by local serviceclubs are located on allroutes. Helmets are requiredfor all riders! Rider check-in begins atMcBean Park at 7 a.m.May 10 for the Country Climb and Metric Centu-ry. Check-in for the Pleas-ure Cruise and Rolling Hills begins at 8 a.m. andlasts until 9:30 a.m.  A barbecue lunch,included in the registra-tion fee, will be servedfrom 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.Beer and wine will beavailable for sale fromlocal vendors. The event will includeawards, a raffle, music,food and drinks.Then on Saturday, June7, the Rods & Relics willpartner with the Veteransof Foreign Wars Post 3010to co-host the eighthannual Downtown Lin-coln Car Show from 7 a.m.to 3 p.m. Boy Scout Troop160 will start the day witha pancake breakfast from7 to 10 a.m. There will be 50-plustrophies and plaquesawarded plus many raffleprizes, product and foodvendors, and local shopsand restaurants to visit onJune 7.Both shows will featurevehicles that are 1972 andolder. Last year, morethan 500 stock, modifiedand custom American-made or American-pow-ered vehicles were at theshows.Rods & Relics donatesthe car shows’ proceeds tolocal charities. This year,the proceeds will beshared by Ride To Walk,the Lighthouse Counsel-ing & Family ResourceCenter, and the NationalDown Syndrome Coali-tion.
