It is prohibited to attack, destroy, remove or render useless objects indispensableto the survival o the civilian population, such as oodstus, agricultural areasor the production o oodstus, crops, livestock, drinking water installationsand supplies and irrigation works, or the specic purpose o denying themor their sustenance value to the civilian population or to the adverse Party,whatever the motive, whether in order to starve out civilians, to cause them tomove away, or or any other motive.
