It is prohibited to attack, destroy, remove or render useless objects indispensableto the survival o the civilian population, such as oodstus, agricultural areasor the production o oodstus, crops, livestock, drinking water installationsand supplies and irrigation works, or the specic purpose o denying themor their sustenance value to the civilian population or to the adverse Party,whatever the motive, whether in order to starve out civilians, to cause them tomove away, or or any other motive.
