Edward H. Fauth Edward H. Fauth, Ed.D., P.E. Edward H. Fauth, Ed D., P.E., 86, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2009, at Rush Copley Hospitel after a two-week illness. He was born in Aurora, IL, on October 22, 1922, the son of Edward H. and Martha J. (Westphal) Fauth. After graduating from East High School of Aurora, Ed began working for Barber-Greene Company. He served with the 477th Railroad Battalion of the U.S. Army in Word War il which was involved in the Battle of the Bulge. He returned to Barber- Greene after the war and stayed with the company for 31 years. During this time he completed his education in mechanical engineering with degrees from Michigan State University (B.S.) and the Ilinois Institute of Technology (M.S.). He then became Dean of Community Services with Waubonsee Community College where he worked unti retirement in 1987. During his tenure there he completed an advanced degree in higher education from Nova University (Ed.D.). In addition to his employment Ed was very active in multiple community organizations including the East Aurora District 131 School Board, Aurora YMCA, Aurora Economic Development Commission, Aurora Urban League, Aurora Home Rule and Revenue Sharing Committee, Aurora Labor- Management Committee, Kane Kendall County Mental Health Center, Kane County Community Action Agency, United Way and Rolary Intemational Club of Aurora. He was the first District Governor of Rotary from the Aurora Noon Rotary Club. He also was ‘active in the local and national societies of Professional Engineers. Predeceased by his parents and brothers Ralph (Doris) and Robert (Naomi) and a sister, Dorothy. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Frances, nee Miller, brothers Carl (Dorothy) and Wiliam (JoAnn), a sister, Marion (Roland) Bolly, his children, Dr. Gregory (Geralyn) Fauth of Aurora, IL, Mary (Gregory) Kushner of Brighton, Mi, Dr. Linda (Jeffrey) Sanbom of Gorham, ME and Anne (Peter) Sparling of West Bloomfield, MI., 15 grandchildren, Wade. Riley and McKenzie Fauth, Nicole (Paul) Plzek, vill and Laura Doran, Katie (Tony) Hemandez, Adam (Yoko) and Charles Kushner, Casey, Blake and Peter Sanborn and Jaime, Megan and Sam Spariing and Jose Daniel Nasta, a Paraguayan exchange student member of the family and his children Rodrigo, Martin and Maria. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, October 18, 2009, at the New England Congregational Church, 406 W. Galena Blvd, Aurora, IL, 60506 with the family receiving guests from 1:30 PM until the service hour. Memorial contributions may be made to the Edward H.
