Quick & Easy Broth
Newsletter
Hope you’ve enjoyed the first few days ofNovember. We get our first share of rutabaga thisweek. Don’t be scared! There’s a quickand simple mashed rutabaga recipe onthe reverse. You can also just slice it upand oven bake (450) to make rutabagafries.I made my first veggie broth this weekend. In an effort to be more healthful (and moreeconomical), I skipped the meat and reliedpurely on our wonderful GoldenEarthworm produce. It was a great way touse up some veggies I wasn’t cooking(sorry turnips) as well as some normallynon-edible veggie parts (tops of leeks, stems of mushrooms). I was nervous itwouldn’t have enough flavor, but quite thecontrary. Recipe to the right.Tavi also shared with us his recipe forsaag. After seeing how much kale ends upin our swap box each week, I’m guessingyou could use this recipe as well.
Note from the Editor
