Groom Speech – Why Stress Yourself?
 The happy couple’s wedding day is something theywill always remember and cherish. They willrecollect special things like the walk down the aisle,the bride’s wedding dress, or the first kiss as amarried couple.Maybe one of the more special events of anywedding is the groom speech at the reception. It hasbeen an honored tradition as one of the mostcustomary parts of a wedding, and as such thegroom speech is undoubtedly the most importantspeech at the wedding.As experience will show, the planning and executionof a wedding can be a daunting experience, bothphysically and emotionally. This usually resides withthe bride and her mother if she has becomeinvolved. The most daunting task for the groom involvesgetting prepared for his groom speech. Publicspeaking for many people can cause panic, but in theheart of the groom as the wedding day looms closer,it can create blind fear especially if they hate writinga speech!With all of the guests at the reception focused on thegroom and his speech, no wonder it can cause himconsiderable anxiety.I’m sure you have been to a wedding where you havecringed while listening to a groom speech, where thegroom is like a stranded whale, thrashing around andstruggling for words.Worse still, the groom has tried to ‘wing it’ and talkoff the cuff.
