Orientation/Meet Your Mentors (1 hour) Facilitated by representatives from Davis College of Business and the Jacksonville Womens Business Center. Workshop #1 (2 hours) Effective Mentoring This workshop focuses on how to get the most value out a mentoring relationship. Workshop #2 (3 hours) Ethics and Integrity Developmental Module This workshop focuses on ethics and integrity, on the job and in your personal life. Well use case studies and examine best practices to work through how to lead ethically and influence your community on matters of principle. Workshop #3 (3 hours) Dimensions of Leadership Developmental Workshop Dimensions of Leadership is a self-assessment designed to identify characteristics of successful leadership, recognize your strengths and identify areas for improvement. This tool focuses on both tasks and personal characteristics attributed to effective leadership. Workshop #4 (3 hours) Political Savvy and Influence Workshop This workshop is designed to help you learn how to create sustained change. Youll learn effective influence techniques to gain commitment and get results; including negotiation, persuasion, and other methods. Through active engagement, reflection and feedback, you will be able to develop, capitalize on, and become skilled at using influence tactics to achieve desired results. Workshop #5 (3 hours) The Essentials of Effective Leadership Communications This workshop focuses on a core leadership function: communication. Effective communication requires the ability to think with clarity and express ideas and information to diverse audiences. We will also study and practice listening, asking questions, and aligning words and actions. Two additional workshops will be offered. One consisting of a panel* of local leaders who will answer participant questions through a facilitated session. The second will be the delivery of participants LEP (Leadership Enhancement Plan) sometime in January, 2015; date TBD with participants Each Workshop will include the development of a personal plan and action steps detailed activity to address a personal improvement area, and actual engagement in the learning activity.

Day workshops from 12-3:00 PM; Evening workshops from 5:30-8:30 PM. ALL at Davis College of Business. Graduation at the conclusion of the course at the JAX Chamber; date in 2015 TBD
