This act created the Iowa Agricultural College and Model Farm, which became Iowa State University. It was signed into law by Govenor Ralph Lowe on March 22, 1858. The document is housed in the State Historical Society of Iowa and is currently on loan to the Iowa State University Library, Special Collections Department.
