In 1962 John Stormer left a successful career as editor andgeneral manager of a leading electrical magazine to write.His first book, None Dare Call It Treason, was a runawaybest-seller in 1964. It was widely distributed by those sup-porting the Presidential campaign of Senator BarryGoldwater. His four books have sold over 10-million copies.
He was called to preach soon after trusting Jesus Christ tobe his Savior and Lord in 1965. As a best selling author,pastor and Christian school superintendent, John Stormerhas encouraged many to fulfill their responsibilities to theirfamilies, the Lord and America. His Growing Up God's Wayis a guide for getting children ready for school and life frombirth on. Published in 1984 it has become the most widelydistributed book on marriage, family and child rearing froma Biblical perspective.
He was president of the Missouri Association of Christianschools for ten years. Since 1977 he has conducted weeklyBible studies in the Missouri Capitol for members of thelegislature.
He publishes Understanding The Times, a periodic newslet-ter analyzing significant news developments in foreignpolicy, politics, education, religion and economics. He speaksregularly in Bible conferences and Understanding The Timesseminars.
A native of Altoona, Pennsylvania, he attended the Pen-nsylvania State University and graduated from California'sSan Jose State University after Korean War service as an AirForce editor and historian. He is a member of the AmericanLegion and the Council For National Policy. He has honorarydegrees from Manahath School of Theology (1965) and Shel-ton College (1976). He and his wife, Elizabeth, are 45-yearresidents of Florissant, Missouri, a St. Louis suburb. Theirdaughter, Holly, is married and the mother of their fourgrandchildren.
