applications will be considered on the basis of merit and score secured in the CET. Service shown for
Exemption should be certified by Concerned Education Officer or appropriate Government authority.
C) The candidates who have appeared for degree examination in March-April, 08 are eligible to appear
for CET. The candidates whose results are declared before the final admission process starts and
who are qualified as per rules 1.5 A.1 & A-2 will be included in the merit list.
1.6 The university degree mark sheet which displays the grades instead of marks must enclose the formula
of conversion of grades in to marks and also display the percentage of marks alongwith grades, duly
certified by the concerned university authority. The mark sheets displaying only codes instead of
subject must also enclose list of decoding of subjects.
1.7 Merit will be decided considering the Total percentage of marks secured by the candidate at the
degree level. (Some universities award degrees by consolidating the marks of three years, while some
award degrees on the basis of consolidating two years marks and some award degrees on the basis
of the marks obtained only in the third year.)
1.8 The candidate is required to select one subject as the first teaching method in the application form. It
is necessary that the candidate must have studied this subject either at principal, subsidiary or
optional level, during the degree course. The candidate must have studied total six papers of the
subject selected for first teaching method, during first, second and third year together. The compulsory
subject studied at first, second and third year cannot be selected as the first teaching method.
1. The candidate is required to select only such a subject as teaching method which is taught at
school/higher secondary level. Further it is important for the candidate to select such a College
of Education for seeking admission in which there is provision of teaching subject (teaching
method).
2. However, for seeking admission in the colleges under the jurisdiction of the Nagpur University as
per the eligibility rules of the Nagpur University, it is necessary to have studied the subject of first
teaching method at graduate level : and second method at degree or post graduate level . It is
necessary that the candidate should have English as a compulsoy subject at graduate level
(as per the ordinance of Nagapur University.)
3. In some of the Universities in Maharashtra a candidate secures degree by offering only five
papers of a subject together at first, second and third year. Such candidates who have secured
degree by offering five papers in the respective subject can select that subject as first teaching
method and will be held eligible for B.Ed. admission.
4. In Nagpur and Amaravati University, a candidate has to appear in five subjects during 1st year
out of which two are compulsory and three are optional. The same subjects are continued for the
second and third year of the degree course. Because of this, a student secures a degree after
studying only three papers as special or optional subject. Considering this, a candidate who
has graduated from Nagpur/Amravati or any other University on clearing three papers of the
respective subject, then the candidate can select that subject as first teaching method and will be
held eligible for admission to B.Ed. course.
5. A candidate desirous and eligible for selecting two or more teaching methods, he/she should
mark separately for each method; and mention the order of medium as per eligibility.
6. A. If the candidate has secured additional degree obtaining additional subject, the subject obtained
shall be eligible as method subject. The marks scored at first degree shall only be considered
for calculating the marks and preparing merit list.
B. If the candidates holds an additional graduation in any subject for Nagpur University, he can
not claim that subject as first teaching method. (as per the ordinance of Nagpur University.)
7. Information regarding the intake capacity and Teaching Method available in different Colleges of
Education, is available on website.

1.9 A) In case of the graduates from Commerce, Social Sciences, Agricultural Science, Computer, IT
and Engineering, B.S.W. faculty the candidate should mention his/her discipline in application
form instead of teaching method. The respective teaching methods are not available in all the
colleges of Education. However, as per the G.R., in all the colleges, seats are reserved for the
respective subjects discipline. Candidate admitted as per merit in any such college shall have no
right to demand the teaching method of his/her subject.
B) The Method subjects for first and second teaching method of the candidates admitted as
explained in 1.9A above will be decided by the Principal of that College of Education
where the candidate has secured admission as per his / her subject, through the centralized
admission procedure (e.g. in case of IT. Agriculture, and Computer subject teaching
methods are not available in the college, they have to opt for Science and Mathematics or
Science.
C) In order to ensure the admissions under 70 %, 28 %, 2 % quota merit lists will be prepared for
each college according to availability of the seats as per category, subject and medium & quota
as specified below :
1) Graduate of Home University : 70% Quota
2) Graduate of University in Maharashtra excluding home university : 28 % Quota
3) Graduate of Universities out side Maharashtra State : 2 % Quota
Note :- These rules framed for admission through Centralised Admission Committee shall be applicable
to all the universities as admissions rules.
2. Additional Marks :-
2.1 If a candidate submits a certificate regarding his / her participation in any one or more than one
activities from the following A, B and C then Five marks will be added to the total marks secured at
the degree level; and percentage of these marks will be calculated.
A) At College / University level certificate mentioning that the candidate has worked actually for at
least 120, 200 and 240 hours in the N.C.C./ Adult Education Programme respectively during
the tenure of the degree course.
B) Certificate of passing the B/C grade N.C.C. examination.
C) Certificate showing the participation of the candidate in sports, elocution, drama and / or
other cultural programmes at inter collegiate, university level, inter- university level,
State level or National level competitions.
2.2 The candidates who have passed the following examinations will get additional percentage of marks
as shown below :
A) A Post-Graduate degree examination of any discipline.
B) Diploma in Education / B.P. Ed. / A diploma or a degree related to ‘Teacher Education’ awarded
by the Government or University.
In accordance with the class obtained in A and B, additional percentage of marks will be given as
shown below –

A) A candidate possessing such qualification at the time of applying only will get the benefit of
provision mentioned above, which will be strictly followed.

C) A candidate having passed in one or more Post-Graduate degree examinations will be
eligible to get the benefit of additional percentage of marks only one P.G. degree.

2.3 In order to get the benefit of any one of the following A, B, C categories the candidate is required to
submit a certificate of the competent authority, stating relation with the candidate only thenthe candidate
is entitled to avail the concession. Additional two percent of marks will be given.
A) Son / daughter / husband / wife of a freedom fighter.
B) Candidate from a project / earthquake affected family.
C) Destitute woman / divorced woman / widow.
3. A) Common Entrance Test (CET) :-The CET will comprise of subjects namely, Mental Ability,
Teacher Aptitude and General Knowledge. This Test will be of 50 Marks for which time limit
will be one hour.
B) Admission form, CET examination and Admission Process fee shall be :
(i) Information brochure free of cost.
(ii) Rs. 650/- for Open/OBC/SBC catagories and outside Maharashtra State.
(iii) Rs. 350/- for backward class candidates.
(Note : No additional fee will be charged for more than one Type of Admission (70%, 28% &
2% quota) additional method/medium.
C) Medium of CET - Medium for CET will be Marathi/English only
4. Ranking in the Merit list :-
Merit list shall be prepared by considering the following points –
A) 50 % of the sum of the marks obtained as per the article 1.7 in this booklet and the additional
marks obtained as per the rule 2.1 / 2.2 / 2.3 if applicable.
B) Marks obtained by the candidate in the CET.
C) Order of merit will be decided on the basis of the sum of the scores in A and B above.

5.2 University and Regionwise Distribution of the Seats in the Colleges of Education
A) In a College of Education in the concerned university-region, 70 % seats of the total intake
capacity of that college will be reserved for the candidates who are degree holders (first degree)
of the university concerned, for admissions to B. Ed. course.
B) i) In a College of Education in a University-region, 28 % seats of the total intake capacity of that
College will be reserved for the candidates who are degree holders (first degree) of the
statutory universities other than the university concerned, and agricultural universities in the
State of Maharashtra, Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth (Pune), Centres of Indira Gandhi Open
University in Maharashtra, Centres of Maulana Azad Open University in Maharashtra,
Yashwantrao Chavan Open University, Nashik.
ii) The son/daughter/husband/wife of the active military services working as officer, workers
who are residence of Maharashtra but working in Military services are eligible for 2 % admission
under 28% quota. Such candidates who are graduate from the universities outside the
Maharashtra State are also eligible to get admission under 28% quota.
C) 2 % seats of the total intake capacity of the Colleges of Education will be reserved for
the degree holders of the outside Maharashtra Statutory Universities and Open
Universities having centers outside Maharashtra. These candidates will be treated as
open category candidates and the condition of Medium & Method shall be Mandatory
for them.
D) If adequate applications from (28+2)% are not received then the remaining seats will be filled up
from the waiting list of the 70 % quota of the concerned university region.
E) (i) 70 % seats in the Colleges of Education having Urdu or Gujarati as the medium of instruction
will be filled from the candidates of the same university region and 30% seats shall be filled
up from the candidates of other university regions in the State on the basis of merit.
(ii) Urdu Medium degree holders of S wami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded,
will be eligible for admission in 70 % quota in the Urdu medium Colleges of Education of
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. The remaining 28 %
seats will be filled from the other university regions in the State and 2% seats will be filled up
from the outside Maharashtra. Still, if some seats remains vacant, then those will be filled up
from the waiting list of the concerned university.
(iii) If adequate no. of candidates are not available from the State of Maharashtra for Urdu and
Gujarati medium Methodology, then the remaining seats will be filled up from the outside
Maharashtra State University strictly on the basis of merit.
(iv) Till year 2005-2006 Solapur University Graduate have not passed out, but from year 2006-
2007 1st batch has come up. Hence Admissions for Solapur University will be processed
Independently.
F) As per the G. R. One additional seat for each Division will be given to the College of Education
for Destitutes Kashmir Migrants.
G) Candidates seeking admission in English/Marathi/Urdu/Hindi/Gujarati medium College
are required to have completed their school education in the respective medium or to have
studied the respective subject at school/higher secondary/degree level or post graduate
level. It is the responsibility of the candidate to produce proof for the same. The
candidates will have to conduct practice lessons in the same medium of college admitted.

6.2 A. The castes require non·creamy layer certificate or validity certificate as per G.R., the concerned
candidate must enclose it with the application form. In absence of such a certificate the
candidate concerned will be treated and included in the open category.
B. Non-creamy layer certification should be in accordance with the G.R. of Maharashtra State
released from time to time.
C. The reservations for Casts/sub-casts will be considered as per Government of
Maharashtra’s G.R. released from time to time
Note : 1. Constitutional Reservation is applicable only for the Domicile of Maharashtra
2. All G.R. revised and released by Govt. of Maharashtra regarding reservation from
time to time shall be applicable.
6.3 Provision or Special Backward Class (SBC) : As per the G.R. Maharashtra Govt. Higher
and Technical Education Dept. No. TEM/3397/12926/ (9086)/TechEdu - 1 /dated July 11,
1997, 50% seats are reserved.
1. Some of the castes under SBC category were earlier included in Other Backward Class.
Therefore, such a SBC candidate shall be held eligible for reservation in the backward class
in which included previously.
2. After implementing the admission process by following the merit list, if some of the reserved
seats remain vacant, then SBC candidates will be given admission to fill up the post on
priority to a maximum of 2% of the total intake capacity.
3. Court decision and G.R. published by Maharashtra Government from time to time in this
respect regarding the Non-creamy layer certificate will be made applicable.
6.4 In the 50% seats for open category and 50 % seats are for reserved category, some seats as
shown below will be reserved for following types of candidates (Internal reservation).
A. Candidates having a certificate from Civil Surgeon Specifying that the candidate is physically
handicapped and having 40% disability but is able to complete the B.Ed. Course - 3%
quota.
B. Son/daughter/Husband/Wife of persons in active military serviceman and Ex. military
servicemen- 2% quota.
(Note: - This being the internal reservation, seats will be filled on merit in the beginning
only. Correspondingly the number of seats will be reduced from the respective subjects
and categories.)
6.5 30% seats of Institute’s capacity will be reserved for women in all colleges of Education

Divorced women, destitute women, widows on producing a certificate stating that effect from

6.6 A. Candidates belonging to backward class are required to enclose attested copy of the caste
certificate with the application form. It is obligatory to submit the originals at the time of
actual admission. Regarding “Caste validity Certificate & Non creamy layer G.R. issued by
Government from time to time and decision of Hon’ble High court will be applicable.
B. The classification of castes changes from time to time as per the decision of the government.
Such a change of caste from one category to another should be documented with proper
documenting evidence.

7. Tution Fee
7.1 Tution fee for the year 2007-08 will be as per G.R. 2001 B.Ed./(442/07) MS. 24 May 2002
and G.R. No. STC 2003/B.Ed. Adm. (11 0/03)MS-3, Dt.7th May 2003, for the academic
year 2008-2009 shall be as follows :
A. For Government and Aided Colleges of Education : Rs. 13,400/-
B. Unaided Colleges of Education - Fee as decided by the Shikshan Shulka Samiti.
7.2 For Government and Aided Institute Apart from Tuition fee, Admission, Library, Gymkhana
and Laboratory.

& B.Ed. Backward students in government colleges, the same will be paid to Backward
students in non-aided D.Ed. & B.Ed. colleges. As per the G.R. of Maharashtra
government published from time to time, the procedure of paying scholarship to
Backward class students in non-aided colleges will be carried out by the concerned
colleges.
2. While taking admission in such colleges for which the Fee Regulatory Authority has
not prescribed the tution fee, the candidates shall pay the interim fee as decided by
the Fee Regulatary Authority. After regulating the fees by regulatory Authority, the
students will be either required to pay additional fees if the equivalent fee is more or
college will refund if the regular fee is less, as the case may be. It is essential that at the
time of admission the student and the Principal both enter into an agreement with
respect to such transaction.
3. If the Maharashtra Government/Shikshan Shulka Samiti modifies the fee schedule
structure for 2008-09, then it will be binding upon the students to pay the revised
fees.
4. In case, University levies additional fee other than the fees structure stipulated, above
fees. The student will have to pay the fees within the university jurdiction
8 General Rules for Admission
8.1 As per the instruction in this booklet the backward class candidates should enclose the attested
copy of their caste certificates. In absence of this, benefit of reservation for backward class will
not be extended. If candidates belonging to NT2, NT3 and OBC category do not submit Non-
Creamy Layer Certificate Obtained as per Govt. G.R. along with the application form, then

they will be considered as candidates belonging to open category. G.R. issued in this respect
from time to time will be applicable.
8.2 It is the responsibility of the candidate to follow the time table of admission procedure
and the instructions imparted, scrupulously
8.3 Admission Process
1. Admission process will be on merit, Option based and computer assisted.
2. Computer assisted direct admission process - This includes merit/and option based
admissions through computer, Admissions will be category-wise, subject-wise and
medium-wise. No counseling. The candidates will get information about admission on
website or at ATC centre. If required communication will be done on his/her address regarding
admission. Therefore correspondence address/telephone number/Mobile No. must be
accurately given in the application. The process will be implemented through following phases:
a) The candidates fulfilling the minimum norms of admission and those who have appeared
for degree examination in March-April 2008-2009 has to approach the Authorized
Training Centre to get the application form and submit the filled form. Incomplete and
wrongly filled up application form will be rejected.
The procedure will be as follows :
1) Candidate should opt CET Admission Card within the stipulated period mentioned
in time table.
2) Appear for CET as per sheduled Time Table.
3) CET Result will be declared as per shedule in Time Table.
4) Collect CET Mark Memo as per sheduled in Time Table.
b) Fill the College Preference Form :
1) The eligible candidates who have passed the CET and eligible to get Admission for
B.Ed. course shall approach the ATC to fill the form to specify the order of preference
and fill up academic & CET Marks.
c) Procedure for filling up the Preference Form :
1) Fill in the college perference number while filling up the form.
2) Admission being based on college preference number and merit, the preference
number is to be entered with utmost care.
3) College preference numbers is to be filled up ones, hence read the information on
college web-site and ATC centre very carefully before filling up the priority numbers.
5) College priority number is very important for applying on line so a candidate must
apply to maximum number of Education colleges available for the method, subeject
and medium for which he or she is eligible for.
6) The priority number for giving preference to college for one subject or many subjects
and medium should be one.
d) Provisional admission will be given to the candidates on the basis of merit considering
the order of preference and medium, subject, and category-wise. The Admission list
given will be displayed on the web-site and ATC centre. As per time table The candidate
who is provisionally admitted has to approach to concerned ATC centre to obtain
provisional Admission letter.
e) The candidate who is alloted to particular college for provisional admission should
approach the college concerned with all the original certificates, True copies of the
same along with Provisional Admission letter. The candidate’s original certificates will

be verified and who is found eligible in varification shall pay the fees to finalize the
admission. If there are any discrepancies noticed by the college authorities in information,
the Provisional admission will be cancelled at college level only.
5) A timetable covering all these phases of admission is made available in the Notification as
well as in the Information Brochure & website.
8.4 a) Candidate has to mark separately for each eligible teaching-method and eligible medium.
b) Also The candidate has to tick mark against the 70%, 28% or 2 % quota which ever is
appropriate and applicable.
8.5 a) The candidate has to furnish authentic information in the application form in appropriate
manner. The candidate will be held responsible if he furnishes incorrect or wrong informa-
tion for which his admission is cancelled.
b) No change will be permitted regarding the merit once it is entered in the application form.
c) Qualification acquired at the time of filling up the form is final & there will be no change.
Note : Fill in the form according to the information and rules mentioned in the
Brochure. The person at the ATC is just a technician. Do not fill up the form on the
information provided by him. If you fill the form wrongly due to this, the candidate
will be held responsible for the cancellation of his form or admission.
8.6 Mutual Transfer
Admitted candidates will not be mutually transferred. However, in case of exceptional circum-
stances, with the permission of Hon. Director (Higher Education) the mutual transfer can be
effected either within 15 days from the starting of the college or within 8 days if the admission
was granted after the starting of the college. The following procedure is to be followed :
a) Submit a D.D. of Rs. 1000/- drawn in the name of Directorate, (Higher Education) Pune
drawn from a notinalized bank, payable at Pune.
b) Submit the application to Directorate (Higher Education) Maharashtra State, B.Ed. cell, in
a prescribed format, alongwith D.D. within stipulated time, personally.
c) The candidate seeking mutual transfer should find out a candidate for mutual transfer. It is
the responsibility of the candidate to find the candidate for mutual.
d) The candidate desires mutual transfer shall be from the same category/medium/reserved
quota.
e) No objection certificate from the principals of both the respective colleges need to be
attached along with the application form.
f) Mutual transfer is a provision and not a right which may kindly be noted.
8.7 If the candidate fails to finalize the admission with in stipulated period the admission will get
automatically cancelled and the candidate will not have any claim.
8.8 a) If the admission is cancelled after admission and before the actual commencement of the
syllabus, Rs. 1000/- will be deducted. After commencement of the syllabus if the student
cancels his/her admission within eight days, tuition fee will be refunded after deducting 10%
fee, if admission is cancelled by the student during a period of 9-15 days, then 20% of the
tuition fee will be deducted, if the admission is cancelled within a period of 16-45 days 50%
of the tuition fee will be deducted and if the admission is cancelled after 45 days no tuition
fee will be refunded: and the admission will automatically stand cancelled.
b) If the admission is cancelled due to university eligibility or by Admission committee, the total
fee will be refunded.
c) No documents will be kept in custody after checking at the final admission.

8.9 If an Admitted Candidate remains absent continuously for Eight days without intimation after
commencement of the syllabus the admission will be automatically cancelled by the Principal
and no fee will be refunded. If an admitted candidates remains absent after regularly joining a
college, the college shall take action as per the rules or the university.
8.10 No candidate should finalize admission at two places at one and the same time. The
candidate attempting to do so, shall be expelled from the admission process.
8.11 How to Mention the Method of Education subject in Application form?
A For admission to methodology of teaching Science, separate as well as a consolidated
merit list of Physics, Chemistry and Biology will be prepared. Separate merit lists will be
applicable to admissions in such universities where separate teaching methods for physics/
chemistry/Biology are available. The consolidated merit list will be applied to admissions in
such universities where all the branches of science are included in “Science teaching method”-
Hence science graduates are required to opt for concerned subject as well as science
teaching method.
B i) B.Sc. graduates with Mathematics/Statistics shall only be eligible for opting Mathematics
Methodology.
ii) B.A. graduates with mathematics shall be eligible for opting Social Science as teaching
method.
C i) Candidates with B.Sc. (Home Science) degree shall be eligible for admission under
Science discipline for science teaching method. Such candidates should tick before
the science method and also mention subject separately.
ii) Candidates with B.A. (Home Science) degree shall be eligible for admission under
Social Sciences. Such candidates should tick before Social Science method and also
mention the subject separately.
iii) Candidates holding Home Science degree of Agriculture University shall be eligible
for opting agriculture teaching method, such candidate should tick mark before
agriculture method and also mention subject separately.
vi) The Home Science graduates of Arts, Science and Agriculture faculty will be eligible
to obtain Home Science method in the colleges of Education where the provision of
Home Science method is available (e.g. Nagpur University B.Ed. College). Hence,
the concerned candidate should mark tick before the concerned faculty & Home
Science subject by referring to I to III mentioned above.
D i) Under Social Science separate lists will be prepared for History and Geography. For
these subjects it is required that the candidates should mark against the particular
subject and not against Social Science
ii) Separate lists will be prepared for the subjects like Political Science, Music, Home-
Science, Pali, Gujarati, Sindhi and Sanskrit. In those universities where separate teaching
methods are available pertaining to these subjects admission will be given by the
respective separate lists, other wise admission will be given by the consolidated list
which will include these subjects along with other social science
iii) In such case candidates should mark against the teaching method for their subject at
graduation so also against the social science teaching method. If the candidate’s
subject is not included in any of the teaching method then he/she has mark against only
the social science teaching method .
iv) B.S.W. candidate and the methodology subject not including in the application should
mark tick against Social Science

E It will be responsibility of the candidate to mention the medium and the teaching method
correctly in the application form. For incorrect or incomplete information provided in the
application form, candidate will be held responsible
9 Deciding the College of Education
9.1 At the time of admission the college will be selected and finalized taking into consideration the
seats available for a particular method of teaching in the College of Education in the respective
university· the medium of instruction and preference given by the candidates. The process will
be carried out by the computer.
9.2 While allotting provisional admission to the candidate the process shall start with open category
seats first. The backward class candidates will be eligible to seek admission under open category
as per their standing in the merit list. Afterwards seats reserved for backward class will be filled
on merit.
9.3 If some seats in any reserved categories remain vacant. Maximum 2% of the vacant seats will
be filled by SBC candidates on merit.
9.4 After provisional admissions are done by Centralized Admission procedure, the colleges will
verify the documents. If there is any objections regarding to caste/eligibility, all the matters
related to admission as per the objection will be scrutinized. The candidates admission will be
cancelled in writing, hence the provisional admission through Centralized procedure should not
be considered final.
9.5 If any seat remain vacant in reserve category it will be filled though following interchangability
process mentioned below :
Group A i) Schedule Caste and Navbauddh (SC)
ii) Schedule Tribe (ST)
Group B i) Denotified Caste (VJ) A
ii) Nomadic Tribes (NT1) B
Group C i) Nomadic Tribes (NT2) C
ii) Nomadic Tribes (NT3) D
iii) Other Backward Class (OBC)
9.6 After following rule 9.5 if some seats still remain vacant then those will be filled on the basis of
a consolidated merit list of all remaining backward class candidates
9.7 Even after following rule 9.6 some seats reserved for backward class remain vacant, will be
filled from the merit list of open category candidates
9.8 If seats allotted to different subjects (methods of teaching) under different medium of instructions
remain vacant, seats will be filled by exching the of subjects as follow :
A Interchange within Language group
B Interchange within Science and Maths.
C After change if the seats still remain vacant in B it will be transferred to Social Science and
distributed as per the percentage
D Interchange among History, Geography will be done first and if still seats remain vacant it
will be transferred to other Social Sciences.
E If seats remain vacant even after this, a consolidated merit list of all the subjects will be
prepared and then seats will be filled on the basis of combined merit
Finalization of Provisional Admission Allotted :
9.9 i) The verification of the documents, marks etc. is not done by ATC centre as the candidate
has filled up the form on line. Hence, the provisional admission allotted is not final. The
verification of the documents & other aspects shall be done by the concerned college
authority and if found correct the admission will be finalized after filling of all the stipulated
fees.
ii) If a candidate is found to have furnished incorrect information regarding the following
points by the college, the admission shall stand cancelled.
a) Percentage, b) Quota, c) Category, d) Subject teaching method, e) Medium,
f) University-wise eligibility criteria.
If the following documents have not been submitted :
a) CET Admission Letter
b) CET Score Card
c) Provisional Admission letter duly signed by the chairman of Centralized Admission
Committee.
d) Original mark lists and certificates for verifying merit.
e) For the benefit of category-wise reservation, all the necessary certificates as per the
government G.R.
f) Certificate of eligibility for the benefit of handicapped, active ex-servicemen or /project-
affected/Earthquake-affected/Deserted women/divorced women/widow related
g) Proof related to medium
Any error/Incorrect information discrepancy is observed, admission will be cancelled
and that will be the total responsibility of the candidate.
9.10 Following criteria will be adopted to fix the order of merit in case of equal academic merit in the
list.
i) Higher CET percentage will have higher order, if they are equal then,
ii) Higher percentage at degree level will have higher order, if they are equal then,
iii) Greater percentage at third year, second year and first year examination, if these are also
equal then,
iv) Senior by age will get higher order

Merit lists of a eligible candidates from application received will be prepared Medium wise, Subject

1. Nature :-
The CET comprises of three sections viz. Mental Ability, Teacher Aptitude and General Knowledge.
The weightage given to each of these is 30%, 40%, and 30% respectively. In each section mostly
there will be objective type multiple choice questions. You are required to answer in all 50 questions
in total time of one hour (60 minutes).
1.1 Mental Ability :- (Weightage 30%) : The content of this test aims to judge your reasoning power.
It also helps to know how fast and accurate you can think. This test will contain questions based on
Series, syllogism, coding-decoding, relationship, analogies, classification, problems on dice, etc., either
in verbal or non-verbal form.
1.2 Teacher Aptitude :- (Weightage 40%) This test aims to know your capacity to become a teacher.

1.3 General Knowledge :- (Weightage 30%) This is a test to see how well you are acquainted with
the happenings in the surrounding, at local / national / international level including past events, current
affairs and science, technology, history, geography, civics, political science, literature and education in
