by Jared Hatfield, Editor Engineering-Expo involves avariety of events including highschool competitions, judged under-graduate and graduate projects, public tours and open labs. How-ever, one of the best opportunitiesfor Speed School students is theCareer Fair, where engineering fo-cused companies will set up infor-mational booths to recruit and in-form students. The corporate career fair isspread over two days. The first daywill be Friday February 29 from11:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Companieswill be set up on the first floor of the Kersey Library building, whichis located directly behind the J.B.Speed building. The second day of the career fair will offer another chance for students to interact with the compa-nies if they were unable to attend onFriday. The second day of the fair is Saturday March 1 from 10:30AM to 2:00 PM. The second daywill be held in the same place, thefirst floor of Kersey Library. Thisyear, in place of the resume book, resumes will be distributed to com- panies through the Symplicity web-site.The annual Engineering-Expo provides an excellent opportunityfor students to get a jumpstart on aco-op search. Freshmen, who arenot likely to be thinking about co-op yet, should definitely attend toget a feel for what jobs they mightwant to eventually apply for.The Career Fair this year ismuch larger than previous years, with more companies and some be-hind the scenes changes.
