The L-rds Prayer = The design and outline! The first thing I want to do is show the entire “L-rds Prayer” then wewill take each segment and expound on it. I know that this seems tobe a long drawn out process but it is easier than you would think.Luke 11:1-13
1: And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.2: And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art inheaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done,as in heaven, so in earth.3: Give us day by day our daily bread.4: And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that isindebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us fromevil.5: And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me threeloaves;6: For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I havenothing to set before him? 7: And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.8: I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he ishis friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him asmany as he needeth.9: And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and yeshall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.10: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth;and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.11: If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he givehim a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12: Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13: If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Hmmm, it seems that the “L-rd’s Prayer is actually longer than theone we were taught to pray...so is it a prayer or an outline to prayer?1

I would like to bring to your attention before you jump to conclusionsabout where the “L-rd’s Prayer” is I chose the third mention in thescriptures to teach first. You will find the “L-rd’s Prayer” in Matthew6:9-15 and Matthew 7:7-11. In all instances you will see that ‘adisciple came to Yeshua (Jesus) and asked him to teach them (thedisciples and us) ‘How to Pray’. So this would indicate that it is notactually a prayer but a guide to effective prayer. So with that letsbegin to “Learn How to Pray Effectively” Luke 11:Verse 2
“And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art inheaven,”
Verse2bThis is who we pray to “Our Father” this is G-d, not to a saint or Maryor any other being. Not to a leader (religious or other person) but toG-d.Where is He. “which art in heavenSo he (G-d) is in heaven.Where is heaven it is all around us seen and unseen. (We will tacklethis in another book at another time.Verse2c “Hallowed be thy name.Honor His Name above all Names. There isno name greater on heaven or earth. His name is to be revered andglorified first and foremost. So when we go to prayer we need beginby honoring G-d, praising His name through praises, songs and dance. This is the best way to begin. Praise not only exaults G-d but it alsobuilds us up in our spirits and gets us to a place where we can prayfrom our hearts and spirits with honesty.Verse 2d “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.Weacknowledge that His kingdom is coming and ultimately will be Hiskingdom here on earth. And that His will will be done. It will be as theWord tells us that those that are with Him will be with Him in Hiskingdom, in that magnificent house that He has built for us. And thosethat are not with Him or have rejected Him will spend eternity withSatan in torment and fire.It also means that if we follow His Word and believe on His Wordthose things that He has promised us will come to pass. There shouldbe no grey areas in our faith and prayers because there are no greyareas in His Word. His Word is specific in every aspect of our lives. Soif it is promised of G-d in the Word to be ours, then it is ours on earthas well.2

How do we get those things promised to be ours in Heaven and earth. We need to continue on and see how to access those things.Verse 3
“Give us day by day our daily bread.”
We ask G-d to give us Hispromises, His WORD day by day, as we offer our prayer and praise toHim, holding Him above all else. With no other “thing” above Him. Allwe have to do is go to Him in praise and prayer from the verybeginning of our day and all of His promises to us are ours. (Ipersonally begin my day with the sinners prayer of sorts, knowing fullwell that I am saved and have the promises of G-d, I feel that I needto humble myself before G-d daily in order to access those things Hehas for me. It also keeps me from becoming prideful and taking Hisblessings for granted.” Verse 4
“And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive everyone that is indebted to us.”
We ask G-d to forgive us our sins, but we can only ask this of G-d after we have forgiven those who have sinned against us, owed usanything or done anything to or against us. This means that beforewe can ask for forgiveness we have to “FORGIVE” everyone first. Wemust do this honestly without any reservations. If we don’t honestlyforgive them and only do it for lip service to get forgiveness forourselves then we are lying to G-d and our selves. We must FORGIVEeveryone including ourselves. We often forget to include our owntrespasses, things that we hold against ourselves and are truly sorryfor but continue to bring up or beat ourselves up with. Unless weforgive ourselves of these we are only giving Satan a door into ourlives and the authority to use them against us. This is the number onefailure of many believers. By hanging on to their past, which waswashed completely clean by Yeshua's sacrifice on the cross and hiddenby the Word of G-d for all time, we bring it back into view and bydoing so make ourselves unforgivable. Now is this a wise decision?Verse4b
“And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
G-d willnever tempt us as a means to cause us to turn away or fail but to helpus to prove our faith to ourselves. It is a way that we are able tochose who we serve. If we fall to temptation it just means that ourfaith, and our ability or willingness to trust in G-d is not as strong asour faith in Satans ability to attack and harass us. The devil canNEVER make us do anything we don’t want to do. If we do wrong wedo it by choice. Many times it is easier to just do what is wrong thanto turn back to G-d and do what is right and just. Many of us will no3
