In the Beginning
compiled by MRav McDonald with special thanks to Min Ellen, and the Thoene’s
Recently there has been a rash of teachers, touting the “mysteries” of theTaNaKh/Old Testament, stating that there is this big mystery surrounding the WORDof G-d and how it is hard to understand. Well it’s NO mystery. Some claim that there isno evidence that Yeshua is the son of G-d or that Yeshua is G-d manifest in man. But Iam here to tell you that the Messiah Yeshua is found through out the entire WORD of G-d from B’resheet/Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21.The most important of all the scriptures in my opinion is the very first verse in the WORD, this verse lays the foundation for our faith and our salvation. It is no coincidence that the very first verse in scripture has seven (7) words in theoriginal [Hebrew]. And they are the most important words in scripture. Now here is B”resheet/Genesis 1:1, in Hebrew, transliterated, and in English [cjb].

beresheet bara elohim et hashamayim veet haarets:
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

I first heard this teaching on an audio portion of a book by Bodie & Brock Thoene, shared by a dear sister in Messiah, Ellen. The story seemed too good to be true, so Idecided to follow the outline of the story and see for myself what the first verse of theTaNaKh/Old Testament revealed. And very much to my amazement and delight there isthe Messiah, as plain as day.We are going to take the first six (6) letters ie; the first word and break it down intoit’s roots. For practical purposes I will put the letters in their proper order right to left, then tomake it easier on non-hebrew speaking/reading students, in left to right order.Hebrew order (right to left)

= rC
resh beit
=Jt
shin alef
=,h
tav yod
English order (left to right)resh beit =
rC
alef shin =
tJ
tav yod =
,h
Now let’s take the first two letters beit and resh [
rC
] (remember the hebrew lettersare in their correct order right to left so we have beit
C
and resh
r
). Beit and resh spellthe word
 bar
.

Bar
= Son, Heir Apparent and ruler, heir of the father,Now let’s take the next two letters alef and shin [
tJ
] (remember the hebrew lettersare in their correct order right to left so we have shin
J
and alef
t
). Alef and shin spellthe word
osh
.
Osh
= foundation, foundations, from the beginningNow let’s take the last two letters of B’resheet yod and tav [
,h
]. (remember thehebrew letters are in their correct order right to left so we have yod
h
and tav
,
). Yodand tav spell the word
 yat
.
 yat
= who, whomOk now we have broken it down to it’s roots lets see what we have;
Son, heir of the father, from the foundation (from the beginning) who
Now looking at the first sentence with the root words for B’resheet and the rest of thesentence we have;
Bar
=Son and heir of the father,
Osh
=foundation, from the beginning,
 Yat
=who,
 bara
=created,
et
=with,
Elohim
=G-d,
hashamayim
=heavens,
 veet
=and,
haarets
=earth/land.Son, heir of the father, from the foundation who created with Elohim, the heavensand the earth.So the literal translation of B’resheet/Genesis 1:1 would be;
Son and heir of the father, from the beginning, who created with G-d heavens and earth.
So we have that in the beginning of Creation G-d and Yeshua being one created theheavens and the earth. There is no more distinct evidence that the Messiah and Elohim are one and together. When we take for granted the awesome nature of G-d and His extreme love for us weover look the obvious. He has given us through His WORD the promise of Moshiach Yeshua/Jesus the Messiah from the very beginning.

Next time you in prayer or study, take a little extra time and let the Ruach teach you and fill you with more blessings from the WORD.Reference Strongs:
