Q’Heat Refrig. Lab.
A refrigerator is a machine that removes heat froma low temperature region. Since energy cannot be de-stroyed, the heat taken in at a low temperature must bedissipated to the surroundings. The Second Law of Ther-modynamics states that heat will not pass from a coldregion to a warm one without the aid of an “externalagent”. Therefore, a refrigerator will require this “exter-nal agent”, or energy input, for its operation.
