The Earth is an Open System recieving energy from the Sun. Overall, any increase in complexity of Life on Earth is more than ofset by an ongoing increase in the Sun's Entropy.Evolution does not therefore violate the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics.

However, the argument fals to take into account that the 2nd Law applies only to Closed Systems and that life on Earth is not a Closed System.

There are so many weak arguments in this article that it is hard to know where to begin. For example, Chapter 1 is arguing that evolution contradicts the second Law of Thermodynamics.
