In the present day power systems, the integration of distributed Generations(DGs) into grid substations has great importance. Here in this paper may methods have been proposed for finding the suitable locations for DG placement considering various performance criteria. In the distributed generation provision for the installation of wind operated DG sets, combined hydro power substations & photo voltaic solar units were installed in different locations contributing large scale reduction of losses in the power system. High levels of penetration of distribution generation(DG) pose new challenge for traditional electric power system. Power injection from DGs alters network power flows with modification of energy losses. Although it is considered that DG reduces losses, this paper presents that this is not always true as such this paper presents the purpose, energy losses which varies when different penetration and concentration level of DG are connected to distributed network. In addition, it has been analysed about the impact and losses of different DG technologies, such as combined heat and power (CHP), wind power and PV cells. Result show that energy losses variation (a function of DG penetration level) presents a characteristics of U-shape trajectory. In the event of when DG units more dispersed in network feeders, higher loss reduction can be achieved. Further it should be note that wind operated power shows the worst to be heavier in the process of loss. Finaly DG units with reactive power network provides better voltage profile and lower losses
