When I was younger, I didn't read with a critical eyebut my courses in college taught me how to truly be a critical reader.A.Your future isn't determined by your past. When I was in high school, I believed that Iwasn't meant to go to college because no one from my family has ever attended college. Irealized that anyone can go to college if they have the determination and desire. I wasfortunate to have teachers and a school counselor who believed in me.B.That I need to see situations as opportunities to grow and learn rather than approach themas either good or bad (black and white thinking). I have seen in my lifetime that situationsthat I thought were bad actually provided a chance for me to grow and appreciate what Ihave. For instance, I thought not being able to naturally conceive a child was the worstthing that could happen to me, but the experience improved my relationship with myhusband and lead us to adopt a child.C.
