Art as a Sharp Weapon

The day the school was founded, whilst the motherland was engaged in the War of Resistance,
gazing north towards the Central Plain, all fields were smoke and flame,
and we were far beyond the border, concentrating on our art research
alas, ones fortune it must be considered.
With the perils of neighbouring states in mind,
how could we, who are on the same side, turn a deaf ear.
The ultimate purpose of art must never be external to the issues of society.
Hence, it must flow with the stream of time, reflecting the righteousness of humanity.
Especially when the motherland is in the autumn of war,
art must reflect the spirit of the War of Resistance.
By turning into a sharp weapon,
the value of art would then possess a greater significance.
