34-year-old right-hander (turns 35 May 25) is making
his 7th appearance, 6th start of the season tonight
vs. the Royals.
Prior to this season, last pitched in the Majors with
the New York Mets in 2012 (20 starts).
Was an All-Star in 2007 with the San Diego Padres.
Has one career postseason start, picking up the win
in G#3 of the 2006 NLDS for the Padres at St. Louis.
At 6-foot-10 is tied for the tallest player in Mariners
history with LHP Randy Johnson.
Originally selected by Pittsburg in the 3rd round of
the 2000 June Draft out of Princeton University.
Played basketball and baseball at Princeton.
